The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is a national organization representing the interests of all women entrepreneurs in all industries. The association currently has over 8,000 members in nearly 80 chapters nationwide, and is affiliated with the World Association of Women Entrepreneurs in 35 countries.  NAWBO is an organization which works to 1) strengthen the wealth-creating capacity of our members and promote economic development, 2) create innovative and effective changes in the business culture, 3) build strategic alliances, coalitions, and affiliations and 4) transform public policy and influence opinion.

The Association of Women Contractors (AWC) was established in 1995 to provide a unified voice for women business owners in the construction industry. The Association of Women Contractors is an organization committed to assisting women-owned companies in the construction industry to become an active voice in the Minnesota business community. The organization promotes contract opportunities, monitors legislative issues that impact the industry, and provides a forum for women contractors to network with each other. An emphasis is placed on enhancing the growth and development of the construction industry while providing women business owners with education and professional resources.
